Kazakhstan National Medical University is a well-established study hub of Kazakhstan and now it has been established as an international hub for students pursuing medical education in Central Asia.
Kazakhstan National Medical University has been giving competent doctors for 91 years now. It was established in 1930 and received the title of “National Medical University” in 2001.
It is the oldest and the best university in the democracy of Kazakhstan. With more than 1500 of its excellent faculty members, out of which more than 200 are doctors, 130 professors, and 15 laureates of state prizes the university has the potential to bring out the best in you and increase your knowledge.

About Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is the most dominant nation in Central Asia, as it produces 60% of the GDP of that area. The Republic of Kazakhstan is situated in Central Asia between the Ural river and the lower courses of the Volga river to the east; Siberian plateau to the north and the Tien-Shan mountain chain to the south.
This gives Kazakhstan access to a vast array of natural resources and for the same reason Kazakhstan has been inhabited by different nomadic groups, which gives the country a dense cultural diversity. citizens of more than 100 ethnicities live in the country, the greater part of which is kazakhs (50%), russians (more than 30%), and others(Ukrainians, Germans and Uzbeks). It is the 9th largest country in the world. Most of its area is low-lying. Kazakhstan, vast plains give way to the isolated low mountainous range of Saryara, to the South and Southeast; they melt into the mountainous system of Altai, Sauyr Tarbagatai, Dzungarski Ala- Tau and Tien-Shan. The highest point is Khan-Tengri-peak, which is 6995 meters above sea level. The climate of the Republic is deeply continental and extremely dry. Kazakhstan is bordered to the north, northwest and west by Russia to the southeast by China, and to the south and southwest by Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Kazakhstan has an “extreme” continental climate, with warm summers and very cold winters.
The absence of any natural barriers in the north of the Republic. enables cold arctic winds and arctic air masses to come from these directions without restraint. Conversely, the high mountains to the east and the southeast of Kazakhstan act as a barrier to air masses from the south.
The land of Kazakhstan is divided into oblast and areas There are 82 cities in the country. Bustling cities are Almaty, Zhambyl, Shymkent Semipalatinsk, Paclodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Astana(Nur-Sultan), Uralsk, and Aktyubinsk.

Almaty, also known by its former names verny and Alma-Ata, is the former capital of Kazakhstan and the nation’s largest city, with a population of 1,404,000 (2010). This represents approximately 9% of the population of the country. Almaty was the capital of the Kazakh SSR and its successor Kazakhstan from 1929 to 1997. Despite losing its status as the capital to Astana in 1997, Almaty remains the major commercial center of Kazakhstan. The city is located in a mountainous area of southern Kazakhstan, near the border with Kyrgyzstan.

The word “Almaty” is Kazakh language means “grown with apple trees”. Almaty city was known for being the hotspot for its trade and apples. For apples it is famous to this day.
The new general plan for the city, which was developed in 1998,intends to create ecologically safe, secure, and socially comfortable living conditions in the city.
They plan on reorganizing the industrial district or territories, improving transport infrastructure and expanding Almaty Metro. Though the plan was expected to be completed by 2030, most of the milestones have already been reached. The first line of metro was launched in 2011, and the extension line to Kalkaman was opened in 2015.
